We dined at Indian Accent last month and it was a memorable experience. The service was smooth, the staff was courteous and explained all the dishes. The little details surrounding our celebration made it special. Since I'd already informed, they printed the tasting menu with my husband's name, they served us complimentary drinks and a dessert - which is customer delight at peak!
We quite enjoyed the food, though it leaned more towards the North Indian palate - everything was done right.
Had one of the most memorable lunches in a long time at Indian Accent, Mumbai an experience that goes far beyond just great food.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail in service. The stewards didn’t just serve dishes, they walked us through every course, explaining the ingredients and the thought behind each element. That level of storytelling really elevated the entire meal. To top it off, the chef personally visited our table and spoke about the dishes, which added such a warm, personal touch.
I don’t eat duck, and the team went out of their way to create a thoughtful alternative, a mini shawarma-style preparation, which turned out to be my absolute favourite. Small gesture, big impact.
The cocktails were spot on- perfectly balanced and complemented the meal beautifully.
If I had to nitpick, I did have slightly higher expectations from the dessert course. The kulfi with mango and Chikki didn’t quite hit the mark for me. That said, the sweet mini kachori at the end completely made up for it.
Overall, an exceptional dining experience with impeccable service and creativity. Would definitely love to visit again, a must-go for anyone who appreciates modern Indian cuisine done right.
Had been to Indian Accent, Mumbai today for lunch. Our meal started with the Blue Cheese Naan and Indian Accent Shorba. I really liked the shorba — it was creamy and had a very balanced taste. The blue cheese naan, however, was not to my liking as the flavour was quite overpowering.
We had also ordered Raspberry Soda and Cherry Cola, but both didn’t appeal to my taste.
We then ordered the Pulled Jackfruit Phulka Taco, which was one of the highlights. It had a subtle pickled taste that made it unique and very enjoyable. The Anar and Churan Kulfi served as a palate cleanser was refreshing and a nice touch.
For mains, we had Laccha Paratha, Chur Chur Naan, 100 Layer Paneer, Tamatar Chaman and Nadru, and Dal Moradabadi. The Dal Moradabadi stood out with its fried dal texture and slight tanginess, offering a flavour profile different from dals served elsewhere.
We finished with Daulat ki Chaat, which was excellent. The dessert was light, delicate, and not overly sweet, just perfect.
Service was excellent. The server explained each dish in detail and was very attentive throughout, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
The highlights of the meal were the Jackfruit Taco, Dal Moradabadi, and Daulat ki Chaat. Overall, it was a well-curated and memorable dining experience.
An unforgettable dining experience!
We had an absolutely wonderful evening at Indian Accent. The food was delectable — so good that we ended up ordering almost the entire à la carte menu! Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, flavourful, and had that signature modern twist the restaurant is known for. We were literally eating with our hands because it was that delicious.
A special mention to Chef Rijul Gulati, who guided us beautifully through the seasonal offerings. Since it’s winter, he recommended the saag and a few other seasonal vegetables — each one cooked to perfection and presented with a contemporary flair. It truly felt like Indian cuisine elevated with the most innovative and modern touch.
The highlight of the night, however, was the makhan malai and the daulat ki chaat. Being from the North, and having grown up craving these winter delicacies, this was pure nostalgia. The makhan malai was the softest cloud — airy, delicate, and absolutely divine. The perfect end to an already exceptional meal.
Everything we ate was wonderful, and the experience from start to finish was memorable.
Highly recommended!
I would recommend this place to anyone ready to splurge and who admires creativity on their plate. The food is very indian, just reimagined but everything about it was Indian. ❤️
The 3 of us had the tasting menu. The chef's were comfortable with swapping dishes due to dietary restrictions or preferences.
My favourites were:
- Sambhar flavored shorba with tiny breads.
- Papdi Chaat with crispy spinach (so yum!!)
- Chana jor garam appetizer
- Crab with spicy butter pepper coconut curry and caviar on top
- Kulchas: You can choose to order more if you'd like
- Daulat ki Chaat: a creamy fluffy and light saffron and nut based dessert.
Though we had the non vegetarian tasting menu, it seems like the vegetarian one is equally tasty.
Lovely lunch place to catch up with friends.
Seems like they also have a very late night menu 😅 if you tried it, let me know how it was!
