It was a very good experience.
The staff is very polite and also provided every essentials. It is a very clean and affordable place.

The game zone is open for 24 hours in which you can play a lot of games and also you have a restaurant inside the hostel and the quality of food is also good.

The vibe is also great. So you can definitely stay here

If you are vegetarian, dont choose it as it is in fish market. 2nd no AC in reception and fans are not cooling. It was no where mentioned to me that chekin is at 1 pm. I reached here at 11:30 and since than i am forced to sit in reception and its damm hot as kitched is also here. Many times i told to let me sit in ac room but they are so rigid. Regret to book this hostel. Its bow 1:03 and still they are not giving me entry saying cleaning is happening. Nonsense

I had a wonderful stay at Forrest Hostels. The dormitory is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which immediately gives a sense of comfort and hygiene. The staff’s behavior is equally impressive — they are polite, attentive, and always ready to help, making the overall experience warm and welcoming.

The combination of a spotless environment and genuinely good hospitality makes Forrest Hostels a reliable choice for anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay. Highly recommended for travelers who value cleanliness and friendly service.

If you’re looking for a chill, budget-friendly stay in Mumbai with a social vibe, Forrest Hostel Bandra is definitely worth checking out.

Located in Bandra East near Government Colony, the hostel offers good connectivity to different parts of the city while still being close to Bandra’s vibrant lifestyle. It’s a convenient base whether you’re in Mumbai for travel, work, or a mix of both.

The hostel has a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The dorms are clean, well-maintained, and designed to give you a comfortable stay without burning a hole in your pocket. The common areas are where the place really shines — great for meeting fellow travelers, exchanging stories, or just unwinding after a long day.

What stands out most is the vibe — it’s friendly, slightly artsy, and feels more like a community than just a place to sleep. The staff are helpful and approachable, always ready to guide you with local recommendations or travel tips around Mumbai.

Pros:

Good location in Bandra East with easy connectivity

Budget-friendly pricing

Clean and comfortable dorms

Social, traveler-friendly environment

Helpful staff

Tangerine room is one of the best rooms, even though it’s a mixed dorm

Washrooms are among the best in the city in terms of hygiene and cleanliness

Cons:

Can get a bit noisy at times due to the social setting

Limited privacy (as expected in hostels)

They provide reusable plastic cups for taking water from the dispensing machine, and sometimes guests leave them after taking a few sips. This can feel a bit unhygienic—not really the staff’s fault, but more about guest awareness. It’s better to carry your own water bottle or use a sealed mineral water bottle from the café.

There’s a fish market nearby, which might be a concern initially (especially due to smell), but it’s not noticeable once you step inside the property.

They don't have car or bike parking so if you are bringing your vehicle it will be at your own risk.

Overall, Forrest Hostel Bandra is a solid pick if you want an affordable stay with a friendly vibe, decent location, and a chance to meet interesting people from around the world.

Hatsoff to the artists for the concept behind this hostel ambience. It's a small and beautiful space in Bandra region. A forest theme blended with reused vehicle parts! Hostel is bit inside a small and crowded street. Entry secured with pin. As i am very fond of tiny spaces, I felt very comfy there. There is a cafe also with affordable price and good food, yet takes time to serve though. Good service and strict rules.. 😃
