Our delivery experience at Uma Hospital was truly wonderful. The doctors, nurses and staff there made every moment special and ensured that both baby and mother were cared for with love and professionalismDr. Gautam and Dr. Priti are extremely knowledgeable. My delivery was somewhat high-risk, yet they handled it expertly; I had a normal delivery instead of a C-section. They also offered a discount on the hospital bill considering my financial situation. We started treatment with this doctor after 4 years of marriage. We underwent around 3 months of infertility treatment and after consistent follow-ups, we finally conceived. Unfortunately, at around 1.5 months we came to know that the baby was not growing, and we had to go through a very difficult loss. After taking a short break, we were blessed to conceive naturally.
During the next pregnancy, we faced multiple complications including gestational diabetes, low placenta placement, and bleeding in the 5th month. Throughout this challenging journey, the doctor was knowledgeable, supportive, and gave us confidence. Our due date was in January, but towards the end of pregnancy, due to diabetes-related concerns, we were advised for an early C-section and were blessed with our baby girl on 30th December 2023.
Again, we got good news in 2025. This pregnancy was comparatively smoother, but because of our previous pregnancy history and diabetes concerns, a similar situation was created again even before 35 weeks, and we were advised to prepare for an early delivery. Thankfully, we were blessed with our second baby girl.
Overall, the doctor is friendly, experienced, and knowledgeable, and we are grateful for the care that helped us become parents of two beautiful daughters.
However, one area where we felt improvement is needed is communication during critical decisions. In both pregnancies, the recommendation for C-section came in a very urgent and stressful manner, which left us feeling panicked and with very little time to fully understand, discuss, or mentally prepare for such a major decision. As patients, especially during emotional moments, clearer explanation and more time for discussion would have helped us feel more involved and reassured.
Still, we sincerely appreciate the doctor’s efforts and care throughout our journey and wish the team all the best.
A special thanks to the nursing and support staff, especially Aly, Hema, Sushma, and all the mavashies, for their care, kindness, and support during difficult and emotional moments. Their helpful nature, patience, and reassurance made a big difference throughout our journey and hospital stay. We truly appreciate their efforts and dedication.
