They don't open the store on time and then were not allowing me to buy a sandwich. Something to do with "counting the number of items first before starting the sale."
So then do it before you open the store. It's open at 8am I went in to get my sandwich around 8:45am. 45 minutes after the store was officially open! Poor management.
Incredibly dissappointed, I mean I understand company policy but I was hungry and was craving for a sandwich. Just lacked basic human decency man!
Food is standard French patisserie fare - fairly good.
This review is for the atrociously poor service if I can even call it service. Absolutely pathetic - staff totally uninterested, completely aloof and do not even acknowledge the presence of the customer. They behave as if they are doing the customer a favor by serving them. They were on their phone or were fulfillng online orders. Not even a line saying they will help me in a moment. I left after 10 mins and will not be returning ever. Staff needs real training in good customer service.
Only visit this place if you like to be ignored.
The food is great, but the delivery service from the website itself honestly is terrible. I’ve tried getting deliveries from two different outlets, including Peddar Road - and this time my family members birthday cake came with broken chocolate pieces. This is after I called the central Theobroma in the morning to be assured of timely delivery, service and caution as this was a special occasion. The last time I had ordered a gift and they did not bother even telling me that they couldn’t deliver it within the time frame or give me a heads up or solution.
They should just stick to in person service.
Theobroma at Peddar Road has become my go-to indulgence spot! I’ve been here multiple times and every visit has been a treat. Their red velvet pastry is soft, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. The butter croissant is flaky perfection, and their assortment of chocolate pastries is a chocolate lover’s dream (good luck picking just one 😄). Paired it all with a warm cappuccino—no complaints at all.
The vibe is cozy, the service is quick, and the desserts never disappoint. If you're in the area, just walk in—you won’t regret it. ✨
Back to theobroma for my monthly escapades, this time it was the Pedder Road outlet.
The ambience theobromish. The service here was excellent.
I was here to try their cake clubs limited edition cashew and chocolate mousse pastry but was disappointed as the pastry didn't appeal to me the way it did in the pictures posted on social media.
Can't be at Theobroma and not eat anything so i had their world famous Millionaire brownie. Looks wavey but 10 seconds in the mircrowave and u are left with a pool of chocolate. I polished off the brownie in no time.
At theobroma the brownies will take away your frownies.
