This is Bori or Bora Mohalla located in South Mumbai in between Grant road and Charni road;near about Bhendi Bazaar. It is bustling with non vegetarian fast food served by many famous and age old jaunts like Tawakkal, Surti Handi, Haji tikka and many such. You can get a hot, frsh chicken tikka roll for as less as 90/- Rupees, Baida Roti for 100/- Rs. and Kababs for 140/- Rs. The dishes here are authentic Mughlai and hugely recommended. There is a variety of Muslim sweets available at Tawaqqal and some other outlets too. Some jaunts offer seating as well for couples and families. It is a feast to savour at these outlets during Ramzan.
Tried some amazing desserts at Tawakkal Sweets and every bite was absolutely worth it.The Tawakkal Special Dry Fruit Malpua was rich, soft and loaded with dry fruits, perfectly soaked in sweetness. The Fresh Malai was creamy and fresh, while the Matka Rabdi had that authentic thick texture and traditional flavour.Their Classic White Rose Firni was light with a beautiful hint of rose, the Kesar Firni had a lovely saffron aroma, and the Royale Mango Firni was a refreshing twist with delicious mango flavour. If you love traditional mithai and creamy desserts, this place is definitely a must-try.
Superb place. I am not a foodie guy and don't understand much about taste. But for first time I would say this place has some great taste and good service. I would give it a double 5star

🥩 Mutton Seekh Burrah – Juicy, smoky and perfectly spiced. The char on the outside with tender meat inside? Absolute win.
🍲 Nalli Nihari – Rich, slow-cooked gravy with melt-in-the-mouth nalli. Deep flavours, comforting and full of warmth.
🍚 Malai Seekh Biryani – Creamy, mildly spiced and loaded with flavour. The malai seekh added a unique twist to classic biryani.
🌯 Butter Chicken Roll – Soft, flavour-packed and indulgent. Perfect grab-and-go option.
🥚 Baida Roti – Crispy outside, stuffed and satisfying. A proper Bohri Mohalla classic.
🍯 Malpua – Sweet, soft and soaked just right — the perfect ending to a hearty meal
I went here with my friends for Ramadan food walk. This place had created an outside seating arrangement for food. They had verity of food dishes. They were good but it could have been better. Also one thing stand out was they had female who were taking food orders which was also really great practice. Really stand out gesture which really creates impact. Overall good experience.
