One of the best ice creams in the city. If i had to compare it with a more popular brand, i would say this is like a premium version of Naturals ice cream with denser and richer flavours. After trying almost all their flavours, I feel muskmelon, apricot and mango are my top favourites. Guava is good too but the spice they use has too much salt in it which can ruin the experience. While the entire experience is quite nice, wish they let customers taste before buying like most other premium ice cream vendors. Expensive for a shop with no seating but still worth the visit even if you are not in the area.
Taj Ice Cream is one of the oldest ice cream spots in Mumbai and it makes for the perfect dessert stop after exploring the surrounding areas of Mohammed Ali Road.
We tried the Alphonso Mango, Litchi, and Pineapple ice creams, and all three were excellent and some of the best I have had.
The Alphonso Mango stood out with its rich and authentic flavour, while the Litchi and Pineapple were refreshing and well-balanced.
The texture of the ice cream is smooth and slightly denser than regular commercial brands, which adds to its appeal.
Given its legacy and consistency, it continues to remain a favourite for many. It is especially enjoyable after a heavy Mughlai meal in the area. They also sell family packs for takeaways.

Tried this hand-churned ice cream and it honestly stands out from the usual. The texture is rich and creamy without being too heavy, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite.
The guava flavor was a surprise hit—perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, just like real fruit. The mixed fruit was equally refreshing, with a nice blend that didn’t feel artificial at all.

Quaint little place, with all the construction going on in the area, a little tough to find now but it is an institution, so anyone will happily lead you to the place. Tiny place but what it has to offer makes you forget everything else. Personally for me Chickoo and sitaphal were mid blowing! The other flavors were also great! So much so that we actually had a kilo of it parceled for home. It is a must try and it will beat any mass produced ice cream without a doubt!
