Rates are on the most expensive side. We understand for premium sweets but what about toasts and cakes ? When asked the owner for high rates he replies petrol, maida and sugar rates has also gone up. Does he adds petrol in their products
Even 1 star is more than this place deserves. Very disappointing experience. The shop is overpriced for the quality they offer. Hygiene standards among the staff are extremely poor, which is very concerning. I personally witnessed a staff member behaving in an unhygienic manner and then handling sweets without proper cleanliness, which is unacceptable. The sweets themselves were below average in taste and quality. Totally not worth the money. Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not recommended.
I tasted Aflatoon sweet introduced by my mentor who resides near this shop. He use to get me from this shop in 2010 and 2011 when I was in Mumbai. Later this year I checked for getting it through online from Chennai. Surprisingly I got Aflatoon sweets on the Ramzan day. Thanks to the shop team the delivery was fast and WhatsApp response was great for my follow up. Happy for tasting the same sweet after 15 years.
I recently visited suleman usman mithaiwala located at Mohammed Ali Road in Mumbai. The place is quite popular, especially for people visiting the Mohammed Ali Road food street.
The shop is well known for its variety of sweets, desserts, and traditional delicacies, and during festive seasons or special occasions, the place becomes very lively and crowded. You will find many options like halwa, malpua, phirni, mithai, and other dessert items, which attract a lot of visitors.
The best Malpuda you get in Ramadan
There are three variants, normal, special with double egg and special with double egg and dry fruits.
The one with double egg and dry fruits is the best option, deep fried in Ghee and served hot.
People also prefer to eat it Rabri for enhanced culinary experience.
Do visit and try it this Ramadan.
