One of the best sweets shops in mumbai , located in bhendi bazaar , their mawa jalebis are very famous , super soft and pess sweet which makes perfect choice for me . Their malai blackcurrant sweet is super duper good and very smooth to texture and it just melts in your mouth. Note: they dont make mava jalebis during ramzan so take care when you go during that time . Overall it was good time shopping sweets at shabbirs tawakkal.
Visited Shabbir’s Tawakkal Sweets in March and honestly, what an experience.
The variety itself is crazy… so many options to choose from, and everything just looked too good. And the taste? Easily some of the best I’ve had. Every single thing we tried was just amazing.
From the kebabs to the rolls to the naan sandwich, everything was packed with flavour. You can actually tell they know what they’re doing when it comes to food.
And then the desserts… just next level. By that point I was already full but still couldn’t resist trying more.
In fact, it was so good that I had to go back again within 2 days, this time with a bigger group just so I could try more items 😄
Honestly, I just wish I had more space in my stomach that day to eat more. Definitely a place I’ll keep going back to.
Went during Ramadan but forgot to post this review. Staff and owner are very welcoming. We tried the Tandoori leg piece, mutton seekh, firni (didn't take a photo), and the kunafa was very tasty. Must try if you visit nearby.

Offers a nice variety of traditional sweets with good quality and taste. The malai khaja stands out with its crisp layers and rich malai filling, making it very satisfying. The mango malai barfi is smooth, flavorful, and nicely balanced with a pleasant mango taste. The tawa items are okay, decent but not as impressive as the sweets. Overall, a good place for classic mithai and a sweet treat, Service staff are bit rude because of rush.
