The rooms were quite pleasant during my stay. 😊 However, the service was just okay; I sometimes had to call multiple times for assistance. 📞 The location is rather remote, making a personal vehicle essential. 🚗 Plus, the AC wasn't working for a few hours. 🥶
Rooms need to be maintained, especially the suite and wooden cottages. Room separating partition in the suite had nails sticking out and we had to ask them to remove them as we had kids in the room.Pool is clean but they can extend timings. Food is average, not too bad.
Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. We booked this villa for a friend’s birthday celebration for 12 people, and the pricing was clearly communicated by Manager Mr. Tejas on a per-person basis at the time of booking. Unfortunately, one friend had a medical emergency and had to cancel, while the remaining guests were arriving the next morning with their 5-month-old baby. Only 9 people checked in initially, and when we requested the charges to be adjusted accordingly, Mr. Tejas completely changed his words and insisted on charging the full package amount instead of the agreed per-person cost.
The situation became even more frustrating during the ID verification process. We provided Masked Aadhaar cards for identity proof, which are legally valid and recommended for privacy protection. However, the manager refused to accept them and demanded full Aadhaar details unnecessarily. This was handled in a very rude and intimidating manner, despite clear government guidelines advising against forcing customers to share full Aadhaar numbers for hotel bookings.
What shocked us the most was the behavior of Mr. Tejas. He spoke to us very disrespectfully and even said that they “do not want to make customer relationships.” Such arrogance and lack of basic hospitality are completely unacceptable in the service industry.
The hospitality overall was poor, customer handling was terrible, and the entire birthday celebration was spoiled because of their attitude and unfair pricing practices. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place if you expect professionalism, transparency, or even basic courtesy. Definitely one of the worst villa experiences we have had.
Had an amazing stay! The resort is beautifully maintained, rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. The ambience is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Food was also delicious. Highly recommended for couples and families. Will definitely visit again ❤️🤩🏖️
I visited Recruze D Retreat Resort and stayed in a wooden cottage. The cottage was decent, clean, and well-maintained. There were no issues with water supply, and overall the room was comfortable.
We ordered food at the resort — veg crispy, dal tadka, and jeera rice. The food was really tasty, reasonably priced, and quite satisfying. I genuinely enjoyed the meals.
The resort also has a swimming pool, but we did not use it because the weather was a bit cold.
Now coming to the negatives — the resort does not have any games, neither indoor nor outdoor, which I feel should be available for guests. This was a bit disappointing.
Another drawback is the location. It is quite far. While going, we traveled from Bhayandar and it was a long distance. On the return journey, we went towards Borivali, and it was still far. We had to book a cab, which added to the travel inconvenience.
Overall, the stay was comfortable with good food, but the lack of activities and the distant location were downsides.
