Old Street feels like a mood.
Warm lights, cozy corners, good music, and a vibe that makes you want to stay longer than planned. The food hits right, cocktail are smooth, and the ambience does most of the talking. Perfect for slow evenings, deep conversations, and effortless pictures.
Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to
Great place but definitely loud. The food was very good. The need to have outdoor seating instead of keeping it just for the smokers.
Really great place to chill, to have some drinks and unwind with some good food. It does get crowded quickly so you might need to head there a bit earlier to get a good table.
Service is quick and the staff are nice.
The chicken 65 was really good as well.
One of the worst entry experiences I have ever had at a so called premium cafe.
The bouncer named Ajay was openly discriminatory, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. He was letting in literally everyone without hesitation, but when it came to us, suddenly there were excuses, attitude, and unnecessary resistance. No explanation, no courtesy, just blatant profiling and power play.
We were ready to spend serious money and needed a table for a high value bill. Still, we were treated like we didn’t belong there. This was not about capacity, timing, or rules, because those clearly did not apply to the people walking in right after us.
Ajay behaved like a self appointed gatekeeper, not a staff member representing a hospitality brand. The tone, body language, and dismissive behaviour were insulting. This is not how a customer facing role works, and definitely not how you treat paying guests.
If Old Street Cafe thinks this is acceptable, then the problem is bigger than one bouncer. A place can have good food or ambience, but when the first point of contact is this hostile, it ruins the entire brand image.
Strongly suggest management reviews who they put at the door. Because one person like this is enough to lose repeat customers permanently.
We sat in the non-AC area, right by the entrance and while these sitting may feel a little too tight and congested, the dim lighting and chatty vibes of the place makes up for it.
Chicken popcorn - 4/5, the quantity was good and they were fried on point with the seasoning.
Loaded mexican nachos - 4/5 while the sauce was on point, the amount of salsa was v little compared to nachos.
Feta cheese chicken - 3/5 this was my least favorite one so far, i was trying to find feta cheese on the plate to be honest because the grated cheese on the top of the plate certainly wasnt feta
The service time is decent, maybe a little slow if u show up in this place completely hungry, as they do take their time to serve. Waiting time is less as they accomodate you quickly in the resto, overall a good place to let down and chill
