Stayed at Namastey Mumbai Backpackers and had a great experience. The hostel has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to meet fellow travelers from different places. The dorms and common areas were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were helpful and always ready to provide local tips or assistance when needed. Its convenient location and budget-friendly pricing make it an excellent choice for backpackers exploring Mumbai. Would definitely recommend it to solo travelers and anyone looking for a social and comfortable stay
I had already checked out of the hostel, but since I had a late-night bus, I ended up spending most of the day there. What made the experience truly special was the incredible kindness of the Chacha in the blue T-shirt. He is an absolute gem of a person. Despite fasting the entire day, he kept checking in to make sure I had eaten breakfast and lunch. That level of care and hospitality is rare, and it genuinely made my day.
In the evening, I was even invited to join the Iftar, which was such a warm and memorable gesture. It’s people like him who make places feel more like home than just accommodation.
If the owner happens to read this review, please make sure Chacha receives the appreciation he truly deserves for his kindness and hospitality. The world needs more people like him.
And of course, the hostel itself is beautiful and one of the best places to stay in Mumbai. Great staff, atmosphere, lovely space, and even better people.
I stayed at this hostel in the girls’ dorm, initially because I had no choice and needed a few hours, but eventually it surprisingly grew on me and started to feel like a home away from home.
The cleanliness and hygiene are taken care of with utmost attention, which instantly puts you at ease. The people here are fab, friendly, respectful, and easy to connect with. Of course, the location is spot on! And the overall environment and culture make the place feel very safe, warm, and home-like.
The owner, the people who manage and work here are super kind. Especially Abul!
If you’re looking for a space that’s comfortable, well-maintained, and genuinely welcoming, this hostel is truly worth it. I’m glad I found it.
Great location in Bandra, close to lots of cafes and restaurants, very central. Rooms a bit on the small side as there is barely any room to leave your bag. Bathrooms clean. No airconditioning outside in the common areas.
Hard to find as the hotel sign is very small. Need to go down a small road of the intersection where zaatar is. Barely any parking.
The owner and the workers are really very kind and helpfull especially Abul the Angel without wings, helped me a lot i couldnt manage to buy train tickets and he did everything without any hesitation and regret. The cleaners the Co workers were alltogether working in harmony and dedicated to be helpfull. The rooms were very sufficient and clean ( what can you expect for 10$ ) it was really more then worth. Thank you guys loved you.
