Good location near Inox Metro. The atmosphere is good and the food is great. Very similar to Goan Portugeuse type of coffe/snacks shops. You have a large variety of veg and non-veg food and drinks. Relaxed and clean and safe environment. Prices are low and portions good.
Had the most amazing mutton puff, butter chicken puff, and mutton keema pav at this place. The puff was so buttery and flaky. The filling was tasty and sufficient. We had to take the ferry, otherwise we would surely have eaten more.
The management of this place should be a case study. Not fancy but so efficient. Understandable considering there’s always a huge line here. We went around 9:30 AM on a Sunday but didn’t have to wait more than 10 mins.
Make sure to carry cash as they don’t accept any other modes of payment.
Kyani & Co. is a classic Iranian café serving authentic Iranian cuisine. The place is always crowded, and you’ll notice a good mix of locals and foreigners, which shows how popular and well-known it is.
Coming to the food, their chicken dishes stood out. The Chicken Cheese Kebab was actually very nice—it was stuffed with cheese from inside and had a hot-dog–like shape. It felt filling and had a good amount of chicken, which I liked the most.
I also tried the chicken samosa, but I felt the chicken quantity was a bit less, with more masala in the filling. Similarly, the mutton cutlet had more potato than mutton. Personally, I prefer meat-forward dishes.
The ambience is really great with an old-world charm, but photography is not allowed inside. I clicked one photo and was asked not to take pictures, which was a bit disappointing considering how beautiful the place is.
Overall, it’s an authentic Iranian café with a lovely atmosphere. The food is good, especially the chicken items, though the filling ratios may not suit everyone’s taste.
I’d always wanted to visit one of the oldest bakeries in town ,Kyani & Co.and finally got the chance. The ambience is wonderfully nostalgic, filled with old-school charm, and I absolutely loved that part of the experience.
However, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. The dishes we tried, like the kheema and bhurji, felt quite basic and nothing exceptional. On the brighter side, the snack items were much better , the mawa cake, chicken cutlet, and ,caramel custard were genuinely enjoyable.
Overall, the pricing is reasonable, making it worth a visit for the ambience and certain snacks, but don’t expect too much from the main dishes.
The legendary Iranian restaurant didn’t disappoint us! We had a wonderful brunch here. Our friends had planned to take us here since they had tried it. The best food to order is the pav with mutton keema. It’s simply the best, and of course, the Iranian chai is a must-try. Almost all the dishes we ordered were delicious. My favourite was the mutton samosa; it was so smooth. This is definitely a must-visit breakfast spot in Mumbai.
