For Dr. Tapasi
Dr. Tapasi provides excellent care with a very patient-friendly approach. She listens carefully, explains every detail clearly, and makes sure the patient feels comfortable throughout. Highly recommended for her expertise and professionalism.
For Dr. Yash Chandwani
Dr. Yash Chandwani is very knowledgeable and supportive. His diagnosis is accurate, and he takes time to address all concerns. Very polite, humble, and truly dedicated to patient care. Strongly recommended.
I cannot thank the Cardiology Department at KEM Hospital enough for the life-saving care they provided to my uncle. He recently underwent a procedure for heart blockages where three stents were applied, and the entire experience was truly world-class.
The Surgical Team & Doctors: While I don’t have every name, the surgeons and the entire medical team were phenomenal. They are highly skilled professionals who operate with absolute precision. A special thanks to Dr. Shubham and the other doctors for their constant communication; they speak so kindly and never lose their patience, which is rare in such a high-pressure environment.
Coordination & Support (Jayendra Sir): The coordination was seamless. Jayendra Sir and the entire support staff were incredibly helpful. We have never experienced such a supportive and well-mannered staff at a government hospital before.
Patient-First Attitude: From the ward boys to the senior specialists, everyone worked like a well-oiled machine. They treat patients with genuine humanity and respect.
My uncle is doing great now, and it is all thanks to the dedication of this entire department. To anyone hesitant about government hospitals: the team here at KEM is proof that you can find the best doctors and the kindest hearts in the public sector
My prev experiences -
* When i was in school i had bald patches suddenly and treatment done here brought my hair back to normal.
* Around 10yrs ago my ear pain was severe and i had hard ear wax when i visited in private hospital they took consultation money and told me to come next day (although i had used ear wax medicine and the wax was soft). I visited KEM next day the treatment was done same day and my ear wax was removed by the doctor in the ENT dept.
Recent visit -
I visited this month dermatology dept. 1st of all the registration queue is huge (7.15-10.30am - 1st opd.. there is afternoon timing as well 12.30-3pm i guess)there are many counters but the crowd is huge as well (1st video), you need aadhaar xerox or pic in phone to register and you get a copy of token no on WhatsApp and sms and 10rs for registration. Doctor will provide the case paper during the visit. They have computers and can access your details.
once you get through the registration you get to the doctor dept. you want to visit and wait in the line ask who's last in line and just sit (there is lots of place/benches). There is staff outside who will guide you and they send you inside sorting as new, old & mbmc staff patients.
It took me approx. 2hrs to meet the doctor. Also for biopsy i was told to purchase nail cutter from outside so my time was wasted there and by the time i was back the concerned doctor was seeing a patient. After collection of sample i was told to go on the 5th floor which i didn't know was the New Bldg(4th pic). It's massive and there too I had to wait a lot just to submit the sample it was around 11am. By the time I leave it was 11.30am (around 4hrs total time).
2nd visit- I went early as usual but the doctor i have to meet was running late that day i also had to collect my report from the new bldg which starts after 9am. After the long wait around 10.30am i was made to sit outside before the entrance but was told by staff i have to wait more half n hr. Overall by the time everything was done it was 11.30am. (4hrs).
To conclude you need at least half a day to visit and a lot of patience. The staff is good but if public don't listen they have to shout (wouldn't blame the staff for being rude). The washroom was okay but only 1 was available in ladies section near the entrance 1st floor. Medicine are available at the medical on the ground floor and opp the hospital as well. Food options are available on the campus (canteen) and opp the hospital. Walking distance from parel station. Doctors are good and experienced. So especially for such cases i prefer visiting KEM hospital for treatment. I don't have dermatology dept. In the govt hospital in my area so i had to travel here. Else for normal issues i visit nearby govt. Hospitals.
It is with immense pain that I am writing this review after losing my grandmother at KEM Hospital, Parel. Our experience was deeply distressing and disappointing.
Throughout her treatment, we felt that the doctors were not fully transparent with us. We were repeatedly given hope about her recovery, and her condition was often described as stable or improving. However, her sudden deterioration left us shocked and confused. As a family, we now feel that we were not given a clear and honest picture of how critical her situation truly was.
In such sensitive moments, families deserve clarity, honesty, and realistic guidance — even if the truth is difficult. False reassurance or incomplete communication only makes the final loss more traumatic.
The staff nurses appeared inattentive and lacked empathy during crucial times. Communication was poor, and we often had to chase for updates. The management system felt disorganized, adding unnecessary stress to an already painful situation.
Hospitals are not only about treatment; they are about compassion, accountability, and dignity. Sadly, we did not feel that our grandmother received the level of transparency and care she deserved in her final days.
I hope the hospital administration reflects seriously on patient communication, staff behavior, and overall management practices so that other families do not go through what we experienced.
⚠️🚫PLEASE DON'T VISIT 🚫⚠️
Doctor are lies they give me ent surgery date and postponed 1 month and after I visit they again postponed said we will call 📞 and didn't call even once. I called they don't know how to answer a call or speak to patients 🤷 last time I visit and they told me we can't take risk and they'll wash their hands. They just waisted my time ⏲️
