Yesterday night i purchased 6 big gulab jamun from chembur camp branch but got scam one of the worker there who pack the items for you. This is very unacceptable and unprofessional such big brand is scamming people here money is not the topic but the thing is looting people anyways the quality is not as good as few years ago but still the trust is broken and will never ever buy anything from jhama sweets anywhere in mumbai. Shame on you guys.
Attached photo is the proof of how they scammed me.
I found this place through an Instagram video, but when I visited, I was shocked to see flies sitting on their various food items, including the unfried Tikkis, Kachori, and Gulab Jamun. I even pointed this out to the staff, but they did not seem much bothered about the lack of hygiene and the flies. To be honest, I didn’t find the Gulab Jamun particularly exceptional either. Perhaps it was because I’ve had it in other places across the country, and this one didn’t live up to my expectations, but at least it wasn’t overly sweet, which I actually appreciated!
This place will serve you one of the best gulab jamuns. The texture is very soft and gulab jamun is quite rich in flavour. However I felt the syrup is a bit sweeter than it should be ideally. The ambience is quite good.
I also tried their Malpua which was awesome as well.
In dry mithai section - Try their Motichur laddoos. They are so soft and simple yet the taste is heavenly.
The place is around 2.5 Km from Chembur Station and BEST buses are available on the route.
I recently tried the gulab jamun, and the experience was fairly normal without anything special to highlight. The texture was soft, but it lacked the rich melt-in-the-mouth feel that truly good gulab jamun offers. The syrup was moderately sweet, yet it didn’t carry that deep flavor of cardamom or rose essence that usually makes the dessert aromatic and satisfying.
While it looked tempting and was served warm, the overall taste was quite average. It didn’t have the richness of khoya, and the flavor felt simple instead of indulgent. It’s a decent dessert for someone who just wants something sweet, but it didn’t stand out enough to leave a memorable impression.
If you’re a big fan of traditional gulab jamun, this one might feel just okay rather than exceptional. However, it’s still good enough to enjoy after a meal if you’re craving something sweet
Jhama sweets are famous all over. Pricing of sweets is on the higher side. This is a big outlet with wide variety of sweet options. There are chat options as well outside the outlet. You will have to purchase a token first before buying any sweet. They accept online payments only if the amount is equal or higher than 150₹ otherwise you will have to pay via cash.
