1 star is also more,but since there is no other option I have to give 1 star...
Their service have grown pathetic over the past few years..
I had their food in one of my close friends wedding.The food and the service was worst as if it was just for the sake of it.The food quality has detoriated and there was too much oil in it...
Also I would like to share one more incident which my family faced at this branch was the behaviour of the manager here..
He should probably learn to speak nicely and in a respectable way..
I don't know what they think of themselves, they have lost the art of speaking in a good way to customers, they have their name in the market,so they think it will not matter to them..
But unfortunately you are LOOSING CUSTOMERS..
Consider you behaviour towards customers, we are not buying for free and you are being paid for the food which involves food price and services for it...
I would rather go to the new upcoming caterers in the market rather than going to this branch and get insulted...

I visited Jaffer Bhai’s Delhi Darbar Catering Service (Dongri/Sandhurst Road branch) with my mother on the first day of Ramadan to book their services, as they hold a monopoly at Medallion Hall. We have a Haldi function on the third day of Eid, so we were already short on time and had no other options due to this monopoly system.
As soon as we arrived, the manager made a rude comment to his colleagues saying, “Agae Ramadan me uth kar,” which was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. We chose to ignore it and continued politely, asking for the food prices since we genuinely liked the Medallion Hall banquet for our small function.
When I requested a pen and paper to note down the prices, he again reacted rudely. While stepping out, he commented sarcastically, “Ab pen aur paper chahiye.” This kind of behavior toward customers is unacceptable. We were not asking for free food! we were there to book and pay for your “unprofessional” service.
If you do not have the time or basic courtesy to attend to customers properly, then perhaps reconsider holding monopolies in banquet halls just to increase business. Customers deserve respect.
Because of this experience, we decided not to opt for Medallion Hall (Charni Road), even though we genuinely liked the venue. There are far better and more respectful options available in the market such as Shalimar Restaurant and Persian Darbar etc.
From today onwards, my entire family and I have decided to boycott Delhi Darbar Caterers and their restaurants.
Extremely disappointed. Rating - 0 star.

Yesterday, I had food at a wedding and I was thoroughly disappointed by The Jafer bhai's Catering.

I have been eating Dum Biryani of Delhi Darbar from my childhood but Yesterday at this wedding the Biryani had no taste no flavour.

Prawns were as if just coated and fried.

Both the gravies were not that typical Dongri deg style

Nothing much...to say good about yesterday's Dinner. Bus Khanna tha, khake aa gaye...

Rest...I had attended last month where this team had done mind blowing food.

Jafer bhai we crave your nostalgic tasty food. Bring back that...
