As a tourist, this was the first shop I entered in India. I had some urgent needs and bought a few necessary items here. The staff behavior felt a bit strange, but I completed my shopping and left. At the cashier, the prices of some items seemed to increase in a way I did not understand. At that moment, I thought it might be part of their system. Later, after learning the usual prices in India, I realized I had been charged extra and paid more than necessary. I felt taken advantage of. Because of this, I do not recommend this place. Especially if you are a tourist, be careful and consider other options.
Recommend this pharmacy for all medical requirements, prescriptions seldom required. Has personal hygiene needs catered for.
We had purchased Midazolam Nasal Spray from General Medical(Colaba) on 31st Dec 2024 since my dad was getting epileptic seizures on stop on that day. Since we were in a hurry, we didn't wait for the bill which was our bad luck. Unfortunately my dad passed on 08 Jan 2025. I went to General Medical last week to return the nasal spray which has not been opened only to be told that they won't accept the medicine since it was an open box. I was quite taken by surprise at their attitude. The medicine has their sticker with the price on it. This is the first time that I have been told that a medicine sold in a box can not be returned. A chemist called Mukesh told me outright that he wouldn't take it. An extremely rude man. I told him that I was returning it unopened since my father had passed. It didn't even remotely make a difference. Mukesh knew he was wrong and when I asked him his last name he didn't divulge the same. I went there around 4.30 pm and when I asked for the manager he lied and told me that he has gone for lunch. The strangest thing is that my late father was a regular over there and even that did not make any difference to that obnoxious man.
A STRONG MESSAGE TO GENERAL MEDICAL - YOUR PEOPLE NEED TO BE A BIT MORE SENSITIVE TO CUSTOMERS. IF A CUSTOMER HAS NOT UTILISED ANY MEDICINE AND WISHES TO RETURN IT EVEN WITHOUT A BILL, YOU NEED TO TAKE IT BACK ESPECIALLY IF YOUR COMPANY'S STICKER IS ON THE BOX.
I had opted for home delivery from this place and contrary to the reviews I saw online, I had a pleasant experience with the home delivery service. The medicines were delivered within 1 and a half hours. The person who attended my call was very helpful. In all, it was a good experience.
