This cake shop is truly a hidden gem for dessert lovers. They offer a very unique and delightful range of treats—from soft, delicious bombolinis to freshly made doughnuts and rich, aromatic coffee. Every item feels special and thoughtfully prepared, making the overall experience stand out from the usual bakeries. The pastries are fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. It’s the perfect place to visit when you’re craving something different and indulgent. Highly recommended for anyone who loves trying new and unique desserts! 🍩☕✨
Beautifully restored, inviting premises on the edge of Ballard Estate, with spotless counters displaying a mouth watering selection of savoury and sweet stuffed buns plus other delectable desserts (which I avoided looking at!) Hot and cold beverages to accompany the goodies.
I tried the cream cheese bun and cream custard bun. Both were good, although there could be more filling, less bread...my personal choice.
There are a few tall tables for customers to eat standing. Takeaway parcels are presented in attractive brown packaging.
I even crossed the street to take more photos of this pretty building. The black and white design is so becoming.
Had an amazing experience at Faredoons ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! The tiramisu was perfectly balanced — light, creamy, and not overly sweet. The paneer bhurji melt was rich, flavorful, and had the perfect cheesy texture. The carameli milk cake was beautifully moist with a lovely caramel touch, and the royal falooda cake was truly unique — a fusion dessert done just right.
Great taste, great quality, and totally worth 5 stars! Would definitely visit again.
I discovered this amazing bakery purely by accident during a casual stroll on lunch break. It is located a leisurely 10 mins walk from the CST railway station. I believe it is a Parsi managed bakery which is expected with almost all of the famous eateries, bakeries and cafés in the Ballard estate and Fort area. The bakery itself looks so inviting and has a nice clean decor and it stands out even more in comparison to the rather u assuming shops and restaurants around it. The egg and non-egg containing baked stuff is clearly labelled so you don’t have to ask. The mix and f the sweet and savoury stuff is perfect. In fact, you may as well have the savouries here which again has an excellent selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices that are clearly labelled and you can literally end the meal with their assortment of pastries, puffs - sweet stuff and was it down with the signature Bombay soda they offer in desi flavours like kala khatta, masala lime, mango and other flavours. I particularly would recommend the classic cream puff and the caramel cream puff which is a small slice of heaven. The kala khatta soda is also really good. I have not tried the savoury stuff yet and hope to one of these days. The only let down is the Irani chai which I personally did not like because it has too much milk (it’s a personal choice and nothing to do with Irani chai per se). But what I certainly did not like is that the Irani chai is prepared beforehand and chilled in a refrigerator and then heated in a microwave and served on demand. In India, we like our tea piping hot right off the stove not reheated. Aside this minor dislike, it’s really a great bakery and very reasonably priced too. I hope they open more of their stores in the suburbs too.
Amazing bun options available, I have tried Parsi chutney bun with kala khata soda, there are many good backery options available. I have also ordered lagan nu custard slice as a dessert option. I checked good cheesecake variety are also available. The ambience is very pleasant and visited solo here and the staff also treated me very nice. Here no seating arrangement available but good and comfortable standing stands are available. Please check out the photos and let me know what you are ordering next time. The best part is very near to CST.
