I had an eye problem and Dr. Smita Mukherjee came in highly recommended and I am very happy that I consulted her. After a thorough check up she explained my eye conditions and suggested a cataract operation for both my eyes. I was patiently told about the surgery process, and she also took me through the various lens options for the same. What I liked best was that Dr. Smita Mukherjee was very professional and that she answered all my queries properly and I never felt rushed. My cataract operations very smooth. The clinic's operation theatre is of very high quality, and I felt relaxed being in there during the process. She is a very experienced doctor who gives excellent quality of medical care and advise.
Her clinic and OT staff are amazing, courteous, highly trained and helpful. The staff efficiently handled all my paperwork including the insurance one. Thank you everyone and thank you Dr Smita Mukherjee. I highly recommend her.

I’m 67 years old and have been living with diabetes for many years, usually managing my sugar levels quite well. But this time around, things were different—my sugar levels were unusually high and kept fluctuating.

It had me worried, but things took a different turn when I met Dr. Smita Mukherjee for a consultation regarding the problems I was having with my vision.

From the very first consultation, her calm, confident demeanor and clear communication put me at ease.
She planned my eye surgery at her clinic—Eye Solutions in Chembur—on the evening of Friday, 23rd May 2025.
Although it’s a good 24 km from my home in Thane, I didn’t think twice because I trusted her completely.

The surgery itself was a smooth and painless experience. Not once did I feel any discomfort, either during or afterward.
On Saturday, 24th May, I went for my follow-up appointment at 4:00 pm. Sitting beside my driver and wearing the protective glasses provided after surgery, I genuinely felt like I could have driven myself through regular Mumbai traffic—yes, just a day after surgery!

I feel truly blessed and deeply grateful to have Dr. Smita as my doctor. Her expertise, warmth, and confidence made all the difference.
I’m now ready to get back to my usual routine and will even be travelling to Pune for work as a consultant in the coming week.

Doctors like her are rare, and I consider myself lucky to have been under her care.

As a patient, it is critical to get correct advice from medical professionals. I was lucky to have right medical advice from Dr. Smita Mukerjee. I was suffering from Dry Age related Macular Degeneration (AMD) in both my eyes. At one eye camp, I was advised to take injections in ratina for my eye condition. Thankfully, I sought opinion from Dr. Smita Mukerjee and she told me categorically that injections treatment would not help to improve my eye condition.

Due to conlicting opinions, I met two other ophthalmologists, and they just mentioned that injection would avoid deterioration and were willing to provide the injection treatment.

Finally, I enquired with a doctor in my family and was informed that injection treatment is for wet AMD and does not help in dry AMD. My relative also informed that in case we would have proceeded with injection treatment which was absolutely not necessary, there could have been damage to the eye.

I thank God that I approached Dr. Smita Mukerjee for her opinion and was given correct medical advice.

After this, I got my cataract surgery for both the eyes done at her clinic. I had ticking problem yet she managed the surgeries so well.

I was fortunate to seek guidance of Dr. Smita Mukerjee and I thank her from bottom of my heart for the correct guidance.

I started consulting Dr. Smita when my daughter was 1 year old in 2020 and it has been more than 4 years now since we are consulting her. The one thing that is unmatched is her patience in dealing with Kids. Apart from that, her diagnosis is very thorough and accurate. She devotes ample time and as a result her consultation gives a lot of satisfaction and confidence to the guardian/patient. I strongly recommend the doctor for all the ages having moderate to complex eye related problems.
