My wife had self referred Dr.Shyam Mithiya, after seeing wonderful Google reviews. She was looking for a change of the anti depressant medicines which she was taking about 3 months back. The doctor did a good diagnosis and prescribed a mix of old & new medications. It has worked well. Dr.Shyam explained well about the process of tapering the medicines. The Clinic is located at a very convenient place in Ghatkopar. Best part is that Dr.Shyam responds to urgent queries. Overall, the consultation visit was a good experience.

Not a good experience at all.
The doctor does not have basic manners while speaking to patients or their relatives. I would not recommend him. His behaviour itself shows he needs to reflect on how he talks to people. He even takes personal calls during the session, which is highly unprofessional—especially when he charges strictly on a minute-to-minute basis. If a patient books an hour and still has concerns, he refuses to listen once the time is up. This feels very money-minded.
I chose not to say this directly to him because I didn’t want the conversation to become unpleasant. But a doctor needs to be humble first. Doctors earn because patients trust them and visit their clinic; if people stop going, professionalism and humility won’t matter.

We have met, and you have our records. During our visit, we felt judged, spoken to disrespectfully, and not treated with empathy, particularly in front of our child. That is why my review reflects exactly what we experienced.
As a psychiatrist, asking for personal clarification publicly or over messages is inappropriate when records already exist.
I stand by my review and do not wish to continue this conversation.
Had a very good and positive outcome after consulting with dr.shyam. He is very optimistic doctor with calming personality.Even one of my friend had a good experience and he is doing better with counselling and medication
