Dr Sanjeev Ahuja is a parent to the parents and their children. He is simply the most humble, knowledgeable and patient paediatrician we have encountered. His professionalism and approachability are his hallmarks, and the reason we have decided to stay in Powai so our newborn can receive his medical supervision and care.
Our daughter is ~10 months at the time of this writing, and we have visited Dr Ahuja during this time for minor ailments, vaccinations, and milestone checks. In all of our visits, he puts the child first, the parents second and everything else third. He is soft spoken and takes the time and effort in his very busy practice to answer all our questions. He is methodical in how he runs his section, and while it may seem chaotic, he ensures it remains structured and takes due care.
Beyond his extremely dedicated medical practice, my husband has also attended his sessions that discussed various aspects of a child's growth. He is always approachable, humble, and takes the time and effort to explain the prognosis.
In an era of social media where questions are many and conflicting answers keep coming, he ensures authenticity and professionalism and provides the same support we would give to our children. He truly is the parent to all the parents approaching him.
Dr. Ahuja has been our go-to doctor for the past two years and has been taking care of our children during this time. His diagnostic ability is strong, and in most cases, his treatment approach has been effective and reassuring. We genuinely value his clinical expertise and experience, which is why we continue to consult him.
That said, I would like to offer one piece of constructive feedback. While the initial consultations are thorough, the experience during follow-up visits has sometimes felt less attentive. As patients, we visit the hospital only when it feels necessary, especially with young children. Even if a follow-up consultation is considered routine or complimentary, families invest time and effort to come in, and they expect the same seriousness and attention as the first visit.
In one instance, we felt that the follow-up consultation did not receive adequate attention, which eventually required us to seek another opinion to get the issue under control. This was disappointing, particularly because we trust Dr. Ahuja’s expertise.
My sincere suggestion would be to maintain the same level of engagement and attentiveness during follow-up visits as in initial consultations. A stronger emotional connection and consistent seriousness during all interactions would significantly enhance patient confidence and overall experience.
Overall, we appreciate Dr. Ahuja’s medical expertise and would continue to recommend him, while hoping this feedback helps further elevate the patient experience.
Dr. Sanjeev Ahuja is an extremely authentic, sincere, experienced, and trustworthy pediatrician. What truly sets him apart is that he never gives unnecessary advice or medications. Even when I visited him for very minor concerns—like a single episode of fever—he always calmly guided me to be patient, observe the child, and return only if needed. That reassurance means everything to a parent.
He has shared some of the most practical and realistic guidance with me over the years—especially around breastfeeding, baby nutrition, meal planning, and what to give or avoid at different stages. No fancy or unrealistic recommendations—just sustainable, science-based advice that actually works in real life.
There were many times when my child fell sick while I was not in Mumbai, and Dr. Ahuja was always available for consultation, whether day or night. That level of dedication and care is rare.
Even now, after moving out of Mumbai, I honestly find it difficult to trust any other doctor for my child. My son is 6 years old today, and Dr. Sanjeev Ahuja remains my first choice, always.

We have known Dr. Sanjeev Ahuja for the past 14 years, and he has consistently been one of the most trusted paediatric doctors for our family. His knowledge, guidance, and approach towards his patients as well as their families are truly commendable and extremely helpful. We have great faith in him, and my daughter is always very comfortable in his care.
Dr. Sanjeev Ahuja, truly deserves to be the head of Paediatric department. He is one of the most sincere and sensible doctors I have come across. A genuine person and dedicated only to help his lil patients. For some reason I had to show my kid to a senior surgeon and after reading Dr. Ahuja’s case paper, the Surgeon mentioned, you are getting your baby treated by a very very sensible doctor. Even though Dr. Ahuja doesn’t require anyone’s validation but still sharing his testimony coming from another senior well known doctor (surgeon). I am truly blessed to have him as my baby’s doctor. I don’t get any second thoughts for any of his diagnosis or treatment.
