Embarrassing experience.
I had ordered a Swiss Truffle Cake (1100grams) for a birthday celebration. At the time of ordering I was informed that the cake will be freshly baked. But what I got was a frozen cake. It crumpled like a stale biscuit and had no taste. On calling and complaining the person explained a defrosting process the cake goes through. It was evident Le Folie’s claims of baking fresh cakes is not true. They are stale and frozen cakes.
There are crystal formation on and around the cake indicating the frosting. Check the picture for the same. They not only mislead into believing fresh cakes at being baked but they also don’t thaw them before giving it.
This place is a disappointment for an event of importance. They mislead people or their personnel are not well trained. The experience for the occasion was embarassing - Did not stand-up to the price paid.
La folie makes a good effort in representing bean to bar chocolate. @lafolie are all your products made from your bean to bar chocolate?
