We paid ₹1.6 lakh for a made-to-measure groom’s outfit purchased through Aashni + Co, with the expectation of couture-level workmanship and professional service. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
At the trial, the outfit did not align with the measurements taken, and the overall workmanship did not reflect what was promised at this price point. Our concerns were repeatedly dismissed as “routine alterations,” even though the issues went far beyond minor adjustments.
More concerning was the lack of transparency and coordination. Important decisions regarding the outfit were taken without our authorization, and despite multiple written follow-ups, the team has been unresponsive since 22 December.
For a store positioned as a luxury, multi-designer destination, the customer service, accountability, and communication were far below expectations. This experience did not justify the premium charged.
I had a wonderful experience at the Aashni & Co South Bombay store. The collection is absolutely stunning, with a wide range of beautifully curated pieces. The stylists were prompt, attentive, and truly understood what I was looking for. Alterations were done quickly and flawlessly, making the entire process completely seamless. I have been shopping online at some other fashion houses that never returned my money nor responded and in light of this, I totally recommend this store.
A special shout-out to Hemal Shah, whose guidance and styling advice were spot-on. Hemal made the experience enjoyable, effortless, and personalized. I’m thrilled with my purchase and will definitely be returning!
I recently had the opportunity to shop with Aashni and Co., and my experience was truly a mixed bag, a stark contrast between their enjoyable in-store service and their deeply disappointing online operations.
Following my positive in-store visit, I decided to make an online purchase. Unfortunately, this experience was riddled with frustration. I encountered issues that required me to reach out to customer service, and this is where the real problems began. Despite multiple attempts, my WhatsApp queries went unanswered. It felt as though my messages were disappearing into a void, with no one available or willing to provide assistance. The lack of responsiveness from their online customer service team was incredibly disheartening and frankly, unacceptable.
Adding to this frustration is their online return policy, which I found to be absolutely incompatible with the realities and expectations of online sales. In today's digital age, a flexible and customer-friendly return policy is paramount for e-commerce, especially when customers cannot physically examine items before purchase. Aashni and Co.'s policy felt restrictive and antiquated, making it incredibly difficult to manage returns or exchanges for items that didn't quite meet expectations. This rigid approach, combined with the non-existent customer service, created a situation where I felt unsupported and undervalued as an online customer. It made me feel that I was dealing some little startup which is falling apart and not a well established business. What is clear, Aashni and Co on-line platform is a pure market place and they don't carry any inventory. They most likely place an order with a designer for an item you bought from the platform, make the customer wait considerable lead-time and then don't want to hear from a customer any more.
Customer service for on-line business and the return policy is in dire need of a significant overhaul to match the high standards set by their physical retail presence. It's a shame that such a beautiful brand is let down by its digital facade. Until they improve, do not shop on their on-line platform unless you want to run a risk of buying an expensive garment which doesn't fit or you don't like the quality and you cannot do anything about it.
