I visited Mr. M.N. Deshmukh office twice where I paid him his fees for a legal notice against the developer. Within a week, his assistant Mr. Balasaheb started saying that better you sell your flat and against my knowledge approached the developer for the same. I was shocked and today I went to confess all these as builder did not receive my notice as he was alerted from Deshmukh’s office itself. M N Deshmukh, shouted and was screaming on top of his voice to defend that assistant. He was not ready to take accountability of his assistant’s actions. I went with proofs to show him. He was like I know this person since childhood. To my surprise, I came to know that both of them are hand in gloves for this settlement business with the developers. They are not lawyers but dalals who earn from both sides. Rather than taking action, he told him that don’t try to help others. Contacting the developer and asking for settlement without the client’s awareness is a help what he is doing. So I asked him then why do you sit, charge hefty amount and issue notices against builders. Do settlements only. He was very furious and was saying that no one has spoken like this n all. My only mistake was I had lost the postal slip, for that he was literally blaming me time and again. First of all, they have a pathetic service where they expect client should pay, get a file, xerox everything and also deliver it by post. They only draft and sign the notices. But in delivering the legal notice, they put their address, put their own RPAD slips and never keep any follows up and then blame clients for the same. Senior Deshmukh is very old enough that he has to read the notice each time before further follow ups. He doesn’t remember any of his matters. And all the charges are taken in cash. If you don’t have cash, they tell you to visit the nearest ATM and pay them. I would never ever recommend this law firm to anyone, as it is more of an agency of settlements where assistants are kept to call the developers. He has insulted stating that he will never give me appointment just because I showed him the true colour of his employee, I only will never ever visit is what I told him. After all these drama, again shamelessly the assistant charged Rs. 2500 for a follow up. He was also telling me that how big of an advocate he is, he is the president of yoga organisation and notary from the government of India. My question is what a client has to do with it. I pay money and then you offer your service. Nothing is done free. Even if you consult or not, you have to pay them. What has all these to do with the notice for which we hire such advocates. Despite being so senior he is extremely Money minded advocate,lacks basic sense to talk to woman clients is my final call on this advocate who is very egoistic of his earned money and status. Not worth it. As said by few, total waste of money, time and energy.
