Lakme Salon in Churchgate,Mumbai

So i went there for a haircut and they tried to sell me their products and said if you buy these products( which were for 5k for 3 items specifically mention by their senior stylist vaishnavi) then I'll get a complimentary spa treatment but when it came to the bill they charged me twice the amount And when I said that the amount which was told to me was different they said it was a miscommunication and you have to pay
I tbh had a very bad experience and when I confronted them they were so rude
Didn't had any choice but was forced to pay 8500
So in the end I wasted all my money and my hair was more frizzy than ever

Wonderful experience with Sujata for a wash and blow-dry. She is not only an efficient hairdresser and makeup artist but also makes you feel completely at ease. I got my haircut done by Sujata at the salon, and she was honestly the sweetest. She followed my instructions perfectly and cut exactly the length I asked for. She’s especially talented with curtain bangs — they turned out so well. Highly recommend her!

Amazing. Pedicure was amazing. I ended up booking an appt for the next day for facials and a blow out. Both were also amazing! Staff is so friendly. Shout out to Deven! He was so great! Highly recommend!

I visited Lakmé Salon, Churchgate (near Eros Theatre) for a simple hair wash and blow dry, for which the charge was 1100. From the very beginning, the experience was downhill.

During the hair wash, I was asked whether I wanted a “normal shampoo” or a “sulphate free shampoo”, and was told the sulphate free shampoo would cost an additional ₹450. This upselling at the wash station itself was extremely off-putting especially when they were charging 1100. Since I needed the service only for a single function, I agreed to the normal shampoo, expecting at least a decent wash.

The real disaster started during the blow dry. Anyone with basic training knows that curly hair should be blow-dried downwards to avoid frizz. Instead, the stylist blow-dried my hair in the worst possible way, turning it into a frizzy mess. When I pointed this out, instead of acknowledging his mistake, he blamed my hair for the result, essentially covering up his lack of skill.

For context, I get blow-dries twice a month, and this has never happened to me before. Moreover i get blowdries from not very big salons in thane and they do such a better job.

I complained to the manager, who again asked the person to “fix” my hair, but he only made it even more frizzy. As compensation, they offered a ₹200 discount, which honestly felt insulting considering I walked out looking embarrassing and completely dissatisfied. Net result: ₹900 wasted and a ruined look for my function.

To make matters worse, the general vibe of the salon was terrible as the staff looked uninterested, disengaged, and in a hurry to go home. There was zero concern for customer satisfaction; it felt purely transactional and money-driven.

To top it all off, the stylist missed an entire strand of hair while blow-drying, which is clearly visible in the photo I am attaching.

Please do NOT visit this salon if you have an important event or function. They do not value their customers, do not take responsibility for poor service, and definitely do not live up to the Lakmé brand name.

Had an amazing experience at Lakme salon.. Offers were explained beautifuly, My Service was taken care of by receptionist name muskaan. Highly recommend Ashiya for Dermalogica Facial. Entire Front Desk was polite. Will visit again for sure.
