My association with CAR KALA is over a decade. Starting with TATA INDIGO, then TATA INDIGO MANZA, then HYUNDAI VERNA, and now MAHINDRA XUV500 W11 AT.
Being at Thakur Complex, Kandivali East, Mumbai CAR KALA was the near option for me. Though it wasn’t my first choice for audio solution. After going through several shops at Borivali, Bandra and Kandivali, finally I got CAR KALA, which is just not a shop but solution provider. After visiting CAR KALA, there was never look back.
Though I shifted to Kharghar, Navi Mumbai past 8 years but still for any audio solution for my car, I turn up to CAR KALA only. Which is over 50Kms one side…
This time it is for MAHINDRA XUV500 W11 AT.
Why CAR KALA? Reasons as below,
• Power cables never routed along with RC cable (Cables carrying signal to amplifier). The signal amplitude is very low and can easily get interfered by noise. Hence to be separately routed.
• RC cable as mentioned above are susceptible for noise (Both RF and low frequency). Hence, the RC cables used should be shielded with both Braided shielding for Low Frequency and foil shielding for high frequency RF.
• Use of common ground point for all amplifiers. More than one grounding point will have separate potential difference, which introduce ground loop noise in audio signal.
• RC cable should be thicker and smaller in length, so that the internal resistance is minimized.
Above are least necessities for car audio. If any one of above is incorrect, whatever system is bought, be it very expensive, ultimate result is pathetic. CAR KALA has in-depth knowledge of the same and are experts understanding minute nitty-gritty of the same.
The modifications carried out in MAHINDRA XUV500 W11 AT is as below,
• Replace OEM Infotainment with MOCO XG-06 Infotainment.
• Raise CANBUS decoder along with TPMS capabilities.
• Intelligent configuring with Audison Bit-One processor (already existing in the car).
o Out of 5.1 channel, 5 channels are fed to Audison Bit-One, which further splits to 8 channels output.
o Sub-woofer channel from MOCO directly fed to MONO-BLOCK AMP, thereby Audison Bit-One output channels can be completely utilized for speakers. More leg room to play around.
o Different configurations such as below can be configured, because of above mentioned connections,
 Tweeter, high midrange, midrange, mid-bass and sub-woofer.
 High midrange Front, mid-bass Front, center front dashboard, midrange rare and sub-woofer.
 Many other as per user’s choice.
• Focal K2 Power 165 KRX3, 3-Way Component speakers.
o The passive filter supplied along with speakers aren’t used. Because of the leg room available as mentioned above, all components are through Audison Bit-One DSP.
o 6.5-inch mid-bass installed at front door (custom modifications) driven by FOCAL FPS series amplifier capable of being stable at 1Ω load.
o Remaining 2 components of Focal (Dashboard) along with Focal K2 Power 6.5-inch midrange (Rare door) are driven by extremely sleek, 6 Channel, amplifier by Musway a German product. This delivers 110 watts RMS at 4Ω in each channel with such compact size.
• Damping of front doors completely, for vibration free sound.
• MOCO Infotainment system comes with rare and front camera. OEM rare camera cannot be used, hence separate hole needs to be drilled to fir new camera. CAR KALA’s out of the box thinking made it possible to fit new camera in the same bracket where OEM camera was in place

Also need to mention about head lights. Entire world is moving behind LED and very few know about the real difference between throw of light. The head light which CAR KALA suggested and replaced are much more better than LED. H7 120W pair 4300K for head light and H8 for fog light, is excellent.
