Absolutely pathetic is the word- right from the very inception. I am based in Hyderabad but I am writing here because I am so disappointed with this and want to bring to your knowledge about what’s happened to me.
I loved the designs mainly because of essajees atelier lady covering it in her reels but its been pathetic to deal with them. The hyderabad person incharge showed us, we selected the design and gave for a sample to be made. We got the sample after a month and that too not at all what we wanted. The hyderabad store incharge told us the company decided to change. Arent we supposed to be informed? And when I said had you told me I would have changed the design, absolutely no remorse in that man and no tone of apology. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. So disappointed with this company and the way things are being handled.
Choosing Bharat Tiles — and their recommended contractors, Gaia — has been one of our biggest regrets.
The overall experience has been extremely disappointing, marked by poor workmanship, inconsistent product quality, and a complete lack of professionalism.
When we purchased the tiles, the Bharat team strongly encouraged us to use their “skilled contractors.” However, the materials and methods used for laying the tiles were far below acceptable standards. The grouting was of such poor quality that it began coming off within weeks. The tiles have developed stains, and new stains continue to appear without any clear reason.
The laying work was done so terribly that, before handing over, they actually had to drill holes into our brand-new flooring just to fill and repair their own faulty work — an unacceptable and shocking solution for newly installed tiles.
The skirting work is also uneven, disjointed, and nowhere close to what one would expect from a reputed company.
We truly regret choosing this company for our flooring. It is unacceptable that customers must endure such substandard quality and repeated inconvenience. We sincerely wish there were stronger ways to hold companies accountable for this level of negligence and the distress caused.
In general, the tile colors, design and feel is great and really enhance the overall look. However, the tiles seem to be extremely porous, and the shine has faded over time. I was informed that the shine would improve gradually, but this hasn’t been the case, even after the sealant treatment.
Additionally, the grouting has come off much earlier than expected, and in some areas, the tiles are not properly leveled. The installation was done by your contractor company, Gaia. I had raised this issue earlier, but there has been no response so far.
Extremely Disappointed – A Legacy Brand in Rapid Decline
We are deeply disappointed with both the quality of the product and the level of service provided. What was once a trusted and respected name has now, unfortunately, lost its credibility.
Despite repeated complaints and continuous follow-ups, there has been no meaningful resolution to the issues we’ve raised. The responses from the team have been dismissive at best and, frankly, absurd at times.
The tiles have deteriorated from the time of installation — visible stains, a hollow sound across multiple areas, and clear signs of poor workmanship. From installation itself there were large defects that were fixed through use of injections and refilling grouting. We were strongly encouraged to use their recommended contractor, who turned out to be completely unprofessional and ill-equipped for the job.
It’s disheartening to see such a legacy brand fall so far behind. The product we received is substandard, and the service has been equally appalling. This is not the Bharat Tiles that people have trusted for generations — it’s a pale imitation riding on an outdated reputation.
We expected excellence, or at the very least, accountability. Sadly, we received neither. Considering how far the world of flooring has come, calling this outfit rubbish would be a compliment.
We bought tiles for our entire apartment from Bharat, and on their recommendation, had them installed by them only. I did not mind paying their very high price, expecting quality product and service. However, their installation and polishing is shabby. In spite of specifically pointing out the problems, their people left the site as it was saying that all problems will be solved once we start mopping the floor. There are discoloured whitish patches on the living room flooring; some tiles sound hollow below when knocked; the filling between the tiles is coming out in a matter of months; the filling was supposed to be expertly done so as to match the colour and pattern of the tiles but it is not so; some borders are shabbily done. All this was pointed out to the company including their marketing/sales team alongwith photographs. There was no response. When they contacted my architect for rating, he told them that he would give them the lowest rating. Yet, no response. I have now engaged another polishing contractor at a large cost to try and rectify the defects.
