A Lifesaver in My Legal Battle
I am beyond grateful to Adv. Geetanjali for her exceptional legal expertise, relentless dedication, and unwavering support in clearing my name from a false case. She successfully secured a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the police station and obtained my exit permit from the FRRO, allowing me to return to the USA. Unmatched Legal Expertise & Commitment
My ordeal began when I overstayed my visa by just one day. As a result, I found myself trapped for nine months, struggling with unresponsive authorities at the FRRO. Despite repeated visits, I was left waiting in the reception area every day for over a month, was not allowed to meet the officer handling my case.

Feeling lost in an unfamiliar legal system, I searched for a lawyer on Google and found Adv. Geetanjali, who had a five-star rating. From our very first meeting, I knew she had the expertise and experience to handle my case. She listened patiently, understood my situation as a foreigner unfamiliar with local laws, and immediately took action.

When we visited the FRRO together, for the first time, I was allowed to go beyond the reception area and meet the officer in charge of my case. That’s when we discovered a case had been mistakenly registered against me due to mistaken identity.

Adv. Geetanjali meticulously researched my case, filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, and fought relentlessly for four months. Despite six different court dates and repeated delays due to holidays, she successfully got the case dismissed. The next major challenge was securing the NOC from the police station—for my exit process.

Securing the NOC
Obtaining the NOC should have been straightforward, but due to bureaucratic inefficiencies and election-related delays, it turned into a three-month ordeal.

Shockingly, the FRRO had to use POSTAL SERVICE instead of emails as per their rules to to request NOC from the police station—email was not an option! This outdated rule caused unnecessary delays. Since many Police Officers were unavailable due to elections, Adv. Geetanjali and I made 15 trips between the FRRO and the police station before finally securing the NOC.

With the NOC in hand, the next step was paying the overstay fine—but another frustrating obstacle awaited.

I was shocked to learn that the FRRO only accepts payments via Indian-issued bank cards—cash, foreign cards were not accepted. This made things incredibly difficult for foreigners who had no access to Indian bank accounts. Fortunately, I was able to use my significant other’s card.

Even after completing the payment, the FRRO unexpectedly asked me to resubmit my application and reupload all my court documents for the THIRD TIME. This forced me to go through the entire process a third time.

Finally, after 9 months I received my exit permit, allowing me to fly back to the USA and leave this nightmare behind.

Geetanjali is the most warm and welcoming person to talk to. She is empathetic towards each and every person around her and makes them feel at home at all times. She is somebody who goes out of the way to help out and make sure there is no stress or problems around people in her circle.
